Vogel Economics is led by Kenneth R. Vogel, J.D., Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania. Formerly a professor of economics and law at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a professor of economics and Leonard Cohen Chair in Law and Economics at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He was a senior manager in the U.S. Department of the Interior and Managing Director at FTI Consulting.

After a decade and a half in academia, studying the interface of law and economics with an emphasis on natural resources, Dr. Vogel spent another decade and a half as a senior manager in the Department of the Interior, writing regulations concerning oil and gas development and the revenues derived therefrom.
